Judy and family, I'm so sorry on the passing of Pete, I missed it some how in the paper. As you know I worked for Pete and Tom in the 60s and it was a great experience. Pete was always good to work with and was a good person. Many good memories from that era of my life. I'm sure you are having a difficult time but he will always be remembered by all.

Judy, we were so sad to hear about "Pete's" passing. He was such a wonderful person who always thought of others. Gary said he was the best of the best. If you need anything, please don't hesitate to call. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Dear Judy and family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I met Pete when he worked for my brother, Tom at Trim-All. My parents and i went to visit the shop at times and Pete was there...such a nice friendly man who made us feel welcome. Tom always spoke highly of Pete and what a good friend and worker he was. I'm hoping all the nice memories I'm sure you have will give you strength to face each day knowing someday we will all be together again. God Bless You.

Judy & family, I'm sorry to hear of Pete's passing. I had tried to get ahold of him these past few years to no avail, We kind of lost touch with each other. Pete and I go back quite a ways working together at Dean's then having him come to work for me at Trim-All. We certainly had more good times than bad. I consider Pete the most loyal and best employee I've ever had. If I can do anything for you and your family, please call me at Clemens Canvas Mfg 319/363-0296. I will be back in Cedar Rapids in about a week. Sincerely, Tom Shaw

I worked for my dad Harold Hawkins at H and H motors I use to take cars to Pete , I knew him when he just started at trim all and then when he took it over, One of the best people I ever met, always a smile always upbeat and happy. Anyone who knew him was blessed. My prayers are with you all.

I remember the time he made my sister Nancy a pair of scooter pants. When she was a baby she use to scoot across the ground on her bottom. Pete saw her do this at the softball games so he come up with a design for her. Always cherish those memories. My prayers go out to you all that you may find comfort at this time of loss. Lon & Chris Lerch

Pete will be missed by the entire Day Family. Each one of us will always have a special story or image of Pete. All our thoughts and prayers. Ralph and Arlene,Ron and Dana, JoAnn ,and Steve and Kathy.

Judy and family.. Im so sorry to hear the news of Pete's passing. He was always a great guy and I remember the fun we had at your pool over by the old house. God bless all of you.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I feel very fortunate to have met Pete a few years ago at Trim All. It is not often that you meet someone who becomes a genuine friend instantly but I did when I met Pete. I always enjoyed stopping in to see him and discussing business, life, and the world in general and I miss that. I had a lot of respect for him. Denny Bryan

I've known Pete a good portion of my life, in business and as a friend. I guess I never really even knew his full name but always had a good chat with him at car auctions, his business, and even the dialysis center recently. Until now, I didn't realize we were the same age. He was a master of his trade and kind hearted businessman. My sympathy to his family and those closest to him. Rich (Rich's of Newhall)
