Raymond P. Buresh, 90, a resident of the Keystone Cedars died Monday March 31, 2014 at St. Lukes Hospital after a sudden illness. Funeral Mass: 9:30 AM on Wednesday at All Saints Catholic Church where friends may call after 8:30 AM on Wednesday. Burial with military rites at St. John’s Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his former wife Florence, five daughters, Marie (Paul) Sullivan, Carole (John) Heefner, Jean (Darwin) Bell, Pam (Allen) McGrew and Barb (John) Lindstrom; two sons, Jim (Marcia) and Tom (Pat) all of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren, Jenny, Kim, Suzi, Betsy, Robert, Caroline, Tim, Katy, Randy, Cherie, Anne, Jon, Amy, T.J., Matt, Brandon, Chris, Joe, Brian, Jamie, Chad, Jeremy, Angie, Lindsay, Lesley, Tina, Danny, Megan, Jack; and 56 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Raymond Paul Jr., a daughter Glorianne, a brother Charles, a sister Marie and a granddaughter Stacy.

Ray was born on January 25, 1924 in Cedar Rapids the son of Charles and Genevieve Lynch Buresh. He married Florence Philipp on September 10, 1941 in Cedar Rapids. 

Ray was a salesman for Oscar Meyer, Wilson and Company and later was a home builder. Ray was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and proudly served in the Army Tank Corps during WWII. He enjoyed old cars and was an avid history buff; visiting many civil war sites and presidential libraries. He especially enjoyed time spent with his beloved family and many friends. His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial fund has been established in Ray’s name.
