Margaret (Marlene) Millsap, 78, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, July 20, 2014.
Funeral Mass:  10:30 am Thursday, July 24, 2014 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Rev. Ivan Nienhaus officiating. Private Inurnment will be held in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 4-8 pm. 

Survivors include her children, Mark (Cheryl) Millsap of Olathe, KS, Karol (Barry) Millsap of Lake Dallas, TX, Mary (John) Klein of Sykesville, MD and Kent (Ana) Millsap of Hiawatha; her grandchildren, Brandon (Heather) DeSotel, Kathryn (Pete) Glasser, Michaela (Mike) Gunsaulus, Reid (Stephanie) DeSotel, Sarah Udelhofen, Alison (Monte) Headley, Jenna Udelhofen, Shannon Davis, Anafer Millsap, Easton Davis, Keana Millsap, Keara Millsap and Kael Millsap; great grandchildren, Abagail DeSotel, Jameson DeSotel, Olivia DeSotel, Nick Sapin, Madden Gunsaulus, Miles Gunsaulus, Maryn Glasser.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth, daughter Susan DeSotel, two sisters, Patricia (Cahalan) Risdal and Helen (Cahalan) Strickland.

Margaret was born October 23, 1935 in Cedar Rapids the daughter of Bert and Katherine (O’Rourke) Cahalan. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1953. She married Kenneth Millsap on October 22, 1955 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Marlene loved playing cards and was an avid Hawkeyes, Cubs and Bear’s fan. She and Kenneth owned and operated M&J Feed and Seed in Cedar Rapids for many years.  Marlene filled her summers on the houseboat with her family and friends. She loved spending time with her family - especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
