Louise Kathryn Johnson, 78, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday July 17, 2014. Services: 11:00 a.m. Monday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 4-7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Inurnment: Private at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include her son, Roger Johnson of Cedar Rapids, a brother, Joseph Plotz of Chicago, Illinois and her brother-in-law, Richard (Joan) Johnson of Cedar Rapids. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Russell C. Johnson.
Kathryn was born June 7, 1936 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Alfred and Louise (Melsha) Plotz. She married Russell Clair Johnson on February 13, 1956 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Kathryn was a homemaker. She loved caring for her family and friends. She also was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church where she was also church secretary. She enjoyed gardening and animals. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
