Mrs. Lapainis was my piano teacher for many years over forty five years ago! I still have the piano book with her handwriting on the piece I used to audition for the Mozart Club. I clearly remember going to her home for lessons each week and her tough but loving instruction gave me lots of confidence and I have enjoyed playing in years since. My deepest sympathy to her family and friends with much appreciation for having known Mrs. Lapainis.

Mrs. Lapainis was my piano teacher for eight years. Without her I wouldn't be where I am today. I went on from piano to church organ in college. Now I'm playing hymns in church on the organ with a full pedal board. I want to thank her family for sharing her talents with me. God Bless!!! Donette (Mattfeld) Piering

Although Mrs. Lapainis' family doesn't know me, I want to say share how much she meant to me. She was my piano teacher for over ten years and taught me more than piano, music theory, reading music, "ace" notes (ha! - for years I thought eighth notes were called ace notes), and the importance of classical music, (however - she even gave in to my desire to play Simon and Garfunkel at the annual recital - a first for her). She taught me discipline, patience, and being true to yourself. It wasn't until I grew to an adult when I realized Mrs. Lapainis was truly an influential person in my life. I loved her and value the time we had together. Please know that today I'm celebrating the life of a beautiful, brave, strong, caring person! God Bless this one-of-a-kind!
