Dianna L. (Mally) Lehnert, 68, of Mt. Vernon passed away on Friday, July 11, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be held at 10 AM on Monday, July 14, 2014 with a Celebration of Life service beginning at 11 AM at Church of God Seventh Day in Marion. All friends and family are welcome to attend.
Dianna Lynn Lehnert was born on January 23, 1946 to James and Ellen Simmons Reed in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1964. Graduated from Kirkwood as a Licensed Practical Nurse (while raising 8 children). She was a devoted Christian and an avid gardener. Dianna grew up as an only child and dreamt of having a large family. Dianna enjoyed spending time with her family and will be remembered as being a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother to her several grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 14 years, Doug; children, Deborah Mally of Cedar Rapids, David (Melissa) Mally of Grafton, WI, Lisa (Seth) Spivak of Tuxedo, NY, Lori (Gordon) Gaster of Walford, James (Tiffany) Mally of Cedar Rapids, Jeffrey (Natacha) Mally of Junction City, KS, Michelle (Mike) Temple of Cedar Rapids, and Mark Mally of Stony Point, NY; step-daughter, Teresa (Rob) Nunez of Tacoma, WA; grandchildren, Zeth and Austin Cook and Jaida Iverson; Ryan, Anna, and Conner Mally; Taylor, Madison, Jared, Jake Spivak; Zachary and Breanna Gaster; Brooklyn (Donovan) Smith, Isaiah, Brittney, Aliyah, Asia, Shemuel Mally; Liam, Sean, Aella, Kai Mally; Trustin and Christian Ware, Morgan Mally, Josh, Benyamin, Yisrael, Hadassah, Hannah, Moriyah, Isaac, Samuel, Hayley, Alex, Taylor, Jerridale, Amadea Temple; step-grandchildren, Chris and Kristen Nunez; 9 great grandchildren including Mya who gave her much joy during her last days.
Dianna was preceded in death by her parents, Ellen and Jim Reed; and husband, Milvoy Paul Mally, Jr. in 1999.
