Charles was born March 12, 1930 to Clint and Floy Galer Fairweather in Edgewood, Iowa.  He served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.  Charles was united in marriage to Ethel Lavon Holthaus on February 20, 1954 in Manchester.  He was employed as a sales specialist at Collins until his retirement.

He is survived by four daughters: Sherrie (Thomas) Dvorak of Selma; Lori (William) Heck of Cedar Rapids; Debra (Bruce) Larson of Marion; Pamela (Mark) Trinkle of Springville; eleven grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ethel in 1997; his parents; three brothers; and four sisters.
