Gregory W. Price, 65, of Cedar Rapids died Friday December 12, 2014 at his home after a long illness.
Memorial services with military rites at 3:00 PM on Wednesday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 8 PM on Tuesday.
Survivor include two daughters, Penny (Jason) Thompson, and Dawn Starr all of Cedar Rapids, two sons Curtis (Candy) Clark of Cedar Rapids and James (Darla) Clark of New Mexico. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and his two dogs Bambi and Little Bit. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty, a daughter Renee Clark and a sister Marcia.
Greg was born on June 24, 1949 in Cedar Rapids the son of George and Helen Van Dyke Price. He married Betty I. Chesmore on January 4, 1991 in Cedar Rapids. Betty passed away in 2010.
Greg worked for the City of Cedar Rapids in the Sanitation Department for over 30 years retiring in 2010. He proudly served in the Army during Viet Nam War.
He enjoyed working crossword puzzles, camping, watching his beloved 49ers Football Team, and especially the time spent with his many friends and beloved family. His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
