Clarence: Cindy and I were sad to see that Cathy has passed. She was a wonderful mother and teacher. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. John and Cindy Monroe

Paul, Karen and family, I am sorry for the loss of your dear mother. Her beautiful spirit will always be close within your heart for a mother's love knows no boundaries. It reaches past distance and time to always be felt in the heart. May all the qualities that made her so special remain as strong memories to keep her ever close until you meet again! Your friend from CEW - Brenda Vittetoe

Clare, Paul and Mark, My deepest sympathies for you and your families. I remember many times going to your house when we were young to play guitars, have rubber band fights or hit your punching bag in the basement while the parents chated upstairs. Those were fun times. May Cathy be in a better place now.

Paul, Thinking of you, your dad, and your family today as you lay your mom to rest. You have my heartfelt sympathy.

I was so sad to read about Cathy's passing. She was truly a professional and will be missed by many. Thoughts go to your family. Carole Hansen

Dear Clare, Mark, and Paul, I taught Title 1 Reading with Cathy for many years at Johnson School. We had so much fun collaborating and problem solving how to help children who were having difficulty learning how to read. Cathy was such a professional. I learned a great deal from her! May your memories keep her alive in your hearts. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Jane Schumacher

Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. Although I was about four years younger than Cassie, I liked the attention and "grownup" talks we had when we were both younger. May Cassie rest in peace. Marie Buhrman

Claire and sons, you are in my thoughts and prayers at this bittersweet time. Cathy and I worked together at Tyler, Johnson and the ESC. She was a joy to work with--not only a great sense of humor, but also great ideas to enhance educational experiences for students. We collaborated together while at the ESC to start both the Rock and Read and Speak Up! programs in the elementary schools. May your wonderful memories sustain you now. With sympathy, Sue

We are remembering good times when we lived on Redbud Rd. and our kids played together. Great memories. Cathy was a nice, kind person - a good friend with a warm heart and a great smile. May she rest in peace. And may God grant comfort to her family.

Cathy's room was right next to mine (the art room) at Tyler School. We were good friends and talked everyday about school and kids. Her boys got my sons suits and sport coats as he outgrew them. My son was just older than they were. She was always so optimistic and happy. She was a real pleasure to know and be friends with. had a great sense of humor and was just fun to be with. I have not seen her in some years but have such fond memories of the years we spent together at Tyler. Gosh it seems she was too young to die. The picture of her is great and as pretty and cute as ever. My prayers are with you all. We were lucky to have known her and worked with her as were the students that she taught. Marge

Cathy was a wonderful teacher, and mentor. I learned a lot from her and so appreciated that she never forgot what it was like to be in the classroom. She loved what she did and the lives of many children and teachers were positively affected by her influence. May you find some measure of peace in knowing that she made a difference.

Cathy was my teacher at Harrison Elementary. I have often thought of her over the years. She has made a positive impact on my life. My she rest in peace.

Paul and family, I am so sorry about your mother. Please take comfort in knowing that you are in my thoughts and prayers while you cope with your loss. Take care.

Clarence and family..... so very sorry to read of Cassie's passing. May your cherished memories help you through this difficult journey. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Clare, Paul and family, Mark and family, Cathy was a friend, a former Redbud neighbor, and a respected colleague. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. May your memories of her gentle nature, her sense of humor, and her enduring love of family keep her forever in your hearts. Clare our sympathy on the loss of your wife, and Paul and Mark our sympathy on the loss of your mother, and of your children's grandmother -- may she RIP. Sharron and Jack McElmeel

Clarence, Paul, Mark and Family, We are so deeply saddened by Cathy's death. She was a wonderful woman wife and mother. The best next-door neighbor we could've ever had. I still remember her visit to the hospital after Edward was born. With her gift of the ABC sampler she made for Ed. Also the time Clarence you and Kathy came from my masters degree celebration. One of our favorite memories of Cathy is her always being in her nightgown and robe as soon as she got home! Guess what I've become that woman now! Wish we could be with you Friday I'm having some heart tests done so will be unable to come. Our thoughts love and prayers will be with each and everyone of you! Sending hugs and much love to all Ellen and Lowell!!

Dear Godfather, Paul and Mark, I am sorry to hear of the passing Cathy. I dearly wish that I could be there with you. She was a dedicated educator and such a good friend to our family. I liked her laugh, particularly the start of it as a giggle that began in her shoulders. I was glad to share in thanksgiving with you this year and hear that somewhere deep inside she still had her sense of humor. With sympathy, her loving Goddaughter Mary Beth Takao in Tokyo

Dear Clair and Family, I was so sorry to read about Cathy's passing. See will be dearly missed by so many friends, family, and former students. Cathy was a GREAT teach, mentor, and friend. I enjoyed working with Cathy and sharing the bridge table with her. My thoughts, prayers, and deepest sympathy to all of you. Ken Brill Amherst, Ohio

Clair, Paul and Mark and families So sorry for your loss We did have some good times especially at those swim meets!!! You all are in our thoughts and prayers

Cathy was a wonderful presence at Johnson School--tremendously supportive of all the volunteers.

Having been friends with Cassie for 68 years, I'm especially thinking back on our young days - swimming at the Ellis Pool, sledding down the alley in her parents' block, riding our bikes down Snake Hill, the church youth center, our bus trips to the school Greyhounds basketball games, slumber parties (Cassie was always the first to fall asleep), Cassie getting a grilled cheese sandwich when the rest of us would get tenderloins and so many other fun times. I guess it's OK to get sentimental at a time like this. Clare, you have been such a wonderful spouse to Cassie, and you, Paul and Mark are in my prayers. I firmly believe your wife/mother is happy in Heaven.

Clair and family Sorry for your loss our thoughts and prayers are with you.
