Stephen P. Rohr, 73, of Cedar Rapids died Saturday August 23, 2014 at St. Luke’s Hospital after an unexpected illness. Services at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Entombment at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friend may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 7 PM on Tuesday.
Survivors include his wife, Carol, a sister Sandra and many many friends.
Stephen was born on March 28, 1941 in Sioux City the son of Herman and Ruth Rohr. He attended Morningside College and later the University of Iowa where he studied geology.
Stephen married Carol A. Neale on May 31, 1967 in Sioux City. He was a licensed operator at the Duane Arnold Energy Center and retired from there after 35 years of service in 2010. Stephen proudly served in the Marines.
He was a real car enthusiast and was a member of the Cedar Rapids Corvette Club. He enjoyed gardening, yard work, rock collecting and especially the time spent with his beloved family and many friends. His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him. He will be greatly missed.
