Donald Wayne Yarrington

Sandra, Please accept Julie's and my condolences. I just didn't know Don was that sick. The last time I talked to him, in the fall, he said he had quit smoking because of a spot on his lung. It just seems like yesterday that I worked with Don in the Kresge store at Lindale. It was an honor and privilege to have known Don. He will always be remembered. Will probably see you on Monday. It just broke my heart to hear that Don is gone. Don will be missed greatly. He was such a wonderful man! I don’t even know where to begin about him. He always had a smile on his face and he always was the bright spot of the day. The most patient and kind person I have known. I worked with him at Kohl’s and there are so many days that he helped me get through when I was down. One day I was having one of the worst days ever and was crying and he just came up to me and said “Hey kiddo, it will be alright” and gave me the biggest hug. Don always encouraged me about school and my career goals. Don was such a strong man, when he gave up smoking I was impressed! Everyday he would supply me with gum and cookies. He was the one of the most thoughtful people I have known. It hasn’t been the same since he took a leave from Kohl’s and the boys department won't be the same without him. Each day I look over expected to see his head bouncing above the racks and I go over to talk to him or see him walk out that door in his brown coat. There are so many more memories. But he left an impact wherever he went. Sandra, Don talked about you a lot; I had always told him I wanted to meet you. He said only the nicest things about you- you were very special to him. To the grandkids, he loved you so much! He couldn't wait to visit you each summer. You brought so much joy to his life and he couldn’t wait to see you.

Dear Sandra, We are very sad to hear about Don. I only found out at Aunt Venitia's funeral that he was sick. When I read the obituary and it mentioned your wedding, I remembered how wonderful and how special it felt being a ring bearer at the ceremony. Don was always so nice to all of us, even when I'm sure we were annoying. You all are in our prayers. In sympathy and love, Lynn, Ross, Bobby and Nate.

Sandra, Suzanne, Miriam and Bob, I share in your grief for the loss of Don. I have many memories of Don watching over all us younger cousins at various family events over the years. He was always kind, gentle and patient with us. I know how devoted he was to you all and I know how much he will be missed by all his friends and family. I'm glad I was able to visit with you all last Sunday. I wish I could have visited more often over the years. You all have my love, empathy and sympathy. You have your faith to guide and comfort you, and that is so much more than any words I could say. I will cherish the good memories, and keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. With love, Beth Ann

It deeply saddened me to learn of the passing of your dear loved one. All of us have experienced losing someone and it is never easy. I have been able to cope with such losses by relying on God's word the bible for encouragement. This has been very helpful in my life. Isaiah 33:24 lets us know that there will one day be a time when no resident will say, I am sick. I truly anticipate that day and look forward to a time when all of our mourning will come to completion Isaiah 60:20. We can be confident that this will one day because it was never God's intention for man to die, rather he purposed for us to live forever and possess the earth, according to Ps. 37:29. This is evident through the provision laid out for us at Acts 24:15 regarding the resurrection of both the righteous and unrighteous. We are told to have this hope, it starts first with our trusting in Almighty God. His words will never fail fore it is impossible for him to lie Heb.6:18. May you refer to these verses from your own bible and meditate on them while trusting in God. He will strengthen you at this time and carry the hope of reuniting with your loved one again by means of the resurrection.
