Dean Harold Ortberg, 53, of Marion went home to be with the lord on February 3, 2012 at St. Luke’s Hospital. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 9th, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

He is survived by one son, Dean (Kelly Ricklefs) Ortberg; three brothers Doug Ortberg; Duane Ortberg; David Ortberg; former wife and life time friend Teresa Murray all of Cedar Rapids; many loving nieces, nephews, friends and family members; and future grandbaby Ortberg.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Darold Ortberg, step-dad Bill Benishek; an Uncle Dennis (Denny) O’Brien; and best friend Bobby “Butch” Miller.

Dean Harold Ortberg was born August 5, 1958 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa the son Alavah and Juanita (O’Brien) Ortberg. Dean worked for Hupp Electric in Cedar Rapids. Dean will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
