Jack L. Baker, 60, of Cedar Rapids, died at home, Thursday, February 2, 2012. Memorial Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Unity Center by the rev. brenda ehret. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Sunday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories from 2 to 5 p.m.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Paula; daughters, Brooke (Rob) Gager of Marion and Page (Chad) Harford of Cedar Rapids; sister, Beth Parker of Marion; grandchildren, Ryan Baker-Gager, Meghan Leeper, and Chase Leeper; beloved aunt and uncle, Renee (Bob) Stramel; mother-in-law, Lorraine Fowler; Sisters-in-law, Kathy (Ray) Pena and Jorja Chmelicek; a nephew and several nieces; and many cousins and special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Candace Neal, a brother-in-law, Michael Stieger, and a nephew, Casey Stieger.

Jack was born March 27, 1951 in Cedar Rapids to Jack and Milda Baker. He was a welder for 30 years in the Cedar Rapids area and was a proud member of the UAW Local #1024 and Sheet Metal Union #263. Jack was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. He loved music, playing cards and being with family and friends.
