I am very sad to hear the lost of Sam. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this time of sadness.Sam was a very wonderful man who graced the world with eighty-eight years of wisdom and laughter. He was very kind to me and his grand daughter Michalie.I know he is in heaven right now telling God the endless array of stories he use to tell me.I miss him dearly.

I have never forgotten how kind and caring Sam was to me when I was a nursing student at Mount Mercy (class of 1983). He was my mailman and he always had a smile on his face and seemed to love life. I will never forget when Steven died, Sam brought over a box of his sports items for my two sons. I thought that was such an act of kindness because Sam knew we were struggling financially. I have never forgotten Sam all of these years and was sad to learn of his passing. When I watched the video tribute, it brought a smile to my face and a tear in my eye, because he looked exactly as I remembered him...with a smile on his face and loving life. Here's to you Sam, for a life well lived.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Sam was our mailman on Maplewood Dr while I was growing up. I must have been 5 or 6 and I would walk with him up and down the block. I'd look so forward to 'Sam the Mailman'. Later, some 15years I got married and moved 2 houses down from you on Council st. How wonderful to reconnect. My husband & I had two boys..the 2nd- named Sam. Good name! Good guy. God Bless

It was good visiting with Sam when we were brothers-in-law for over 20 years. He always had some good stories to talk about. I'm sorry to hear that he has passed on. Peace to you, Edyth, and good memories as you think of the life you had together. Sincerely, Ken Lang
