Memorial

Jane P. (Margretz) Morris, 77, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Toddville, died Tuesday March 16, 2010 in St. Luke’s Hospital. Memorial Services: 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Toddville Free Methodist Church, where visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m until service time. The Rev. Mark F. Lofquist will officiate. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, John C. Morris, three sisters, Wilma I. (George) Kibler of Cedar Rapids, Wanda D. Cook of Cedar Rapids, and Norma J. Taylor of Minnesota, a brother, Vinton J. (Tamae) Margretz of Hiawatha, a sister in law, Betty M. Holsinger of Toddville and three brothers in law, Nelson J. Morris of Pearland, Texas, Allen D. (Janet) Morris of Central City, Iowa, and Kenneth J. (Linda) Morris of Hiawatha, Iowa.

Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, twin sister, Joan G. Tank, a brother, Paul G. Margretz, brothers in law, Bob Cook, Robert Holsinger, Lyle Morris and a sister in law, Terry Morris.

Jane was born September 12, 1932 in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Glenn and Pauline Craft Margretz. She married John C. Morris on July 19, 1953 in the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Jane was a member of the Toddville Free Methodist Church. Jane’s love and interests in her nieces and nephews was endless. She was the family historian and an avid sports fan.

Instead of flowers memorials may be made to the Toddville Free Methodist Church.
