Dear Bill: Only last week, and totally unexpectedly, memories of the "good old days" at the Pear Tree crossed my mind. In the process of remembering, I came across your mother's obituary online and left you a message there. Now today I was saddened to see your dear father has passed away. The irony and coincidence aren't lost on me. Our lives are intertwined in so many ways. I'm sending my deepest sympathies to you and your entire family and hope that the days ahead will be filled with loving memories of your own and that you'll find comfort and peace from them as you celebrate your father's life.

Dear Billy Cherri and family and of course Dicks many friends, he was a great father and person he will be missed by all that ever meant him he was a talker not just a talker but a knowledge talker he knew a little about everything and would always engage you in conversation about what ever you had on your mind. I know Billy my best friend and I are probably responsible for aging him 10 years with all our antics in our teens but Dick took it all in stride and never missed a beat. He will be greatly missed bye his family, many friends and his customers in all the different business dealings Dick had over the years. If you were a customer of Dicks you were a friend of his because he treated everyone as family. Best Wishes and happy memories, Frank

When I was in the hospital, brother Dick visited me and boosted my spirits. He was a joy to know, and I always enjoyed our time in Lodge together. I join with his family in celebrating his life. He was a good man and an exemplary Mason. W. C. Jacobson Mt. Hermon Lodge

My condolances to your family. Richard was a kind, compassionate, caring man with a great sense of humor. I worked with him at the Salvation Army where he volunteered. He will be deeply missed by everyone who came in contact with him.
