My greatest condolences to all of you. I have known your family and Bob for so many years that you all are family to me. Your loss is my loss. Bob was a great man and he always met me with a smile and a "hey Mel". I will never forget him. I know that your pain is great now but his pain is gone now. He was well loved by his family and he knew it. You all have shared your love and your lives with him. Keep the memories close to your heart and there you will always find him. My family (Brian, Melenie and Elena Grimm)along with the Collins'(Roger, Steve, and Jason)are very sorry for your loss.

Knoot Family, Bob was my neighbor twice in my life... once on Timber Valley and once in Iowa City when he worked at the Dealership near my house. He always offered a friendly smile and wave each time he saw me go by. He will be missed and remembered fondly by all that knew him. I'm so sorry for your loss and wish you well in this hard time. Dear Rob & family- I was so sorry to learn of your father's passing. Even though I did not have the pleasure of knowing your dad, I did enjoy being a friend & co-worker of yours. I have fond memories of working at The Sandtrap with you, Kory & Josh. I imagine that your dad was a lot like you & therefore he had to be a great guy. Take Care- Amy Weaver

Knoot Family- Im so sorry to hear about Bob, he has been a great neighbor and friend for the past 22years. I have many memories growing up around him. I can remember the look on his face when all the neighbor girls were running through the already busy Knoot house when a game was on that he was trying to watch, haha...but the one that will always stick out the most is seeing him mow the lawn in his polo tshirt and khakis. His wave will be missed when I drive by. Wish you all the best

Sheila/girls : Asima and I are deeply saddened by Bob's passing away. We hope and pray all of you find the strength and fortitude to withstand your loss. Always enjoyed engaging him in those long conversations at the neighboring events. Behind that unassuming facade he possessed a world of wisdom and real life experiences.

Knoot family I am sorry for your loss. I lived with Megan for two years in Iowa City. Bob had 2 jobs in town: 1. Hartwig Motors 2. Being Megan's personal mail delivery service Unfortunately, I only got to meet him once, but Megan wanted to graduate with outstanding grades and make Bob and Shelia proud more than anything else in the world. I am so glad that he got to see his youngest daughter walk across the stage in May with a 3.75 GPA.I know it meant so much to him, and was one of the proudest moments of his life. He was a great man and his legacy will live on through his large family.

Our hearts are heavy since hearing about Bob's passing. What a courageous battle he fought with this debilitating disease. I have fond memories of Sunday afternoons at the Knoot farm when our families would play softball in the pasture together. Bob had the most gentle and kind spirit along with his big heart. We will be keeping all of you in our prayers and know that many wonderful memories will comfort you in the days and weeks to come. God's blessings. Don and Roxie Morrison

Knoot Family, I went to NM high school with Bob and learned of his death at church where we attend with Marvin and his family. I remember Bob's smile (all the girls noticed it!) and what a good basketball player he was. Even though I haven't seen him since he graduated, I want to express my sympathy to all of you.

I was very sad to hear of your loss. Some of my favorite memories of being a kid were playing basketball in your driveway or having Bob throw the football to "Robbie" and me in your backyard. It seems awfully timely to me now that UNI is making a run this week. I remember sitting in your new house 20 years ago watching UNI win their conference tourney an how excited Bob was for them. It is hard to believe he has passed, and I'm sure it is a very difficult time for all of you, but he was a great guy and I will always remember him for having a fun and positive impact on my life a a young kid. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you as you find your way through these challenging moments in your lives.

Hi Jenn, My heart breaks for your family. Please know that I am always here to listen. I loved this poem a friend sent when my folks passed away......God Saw that you were getting tired and a cure was not to be.. So he put his arms around you and whispered come with me. With tearful eyes we watched you suffer. We saw you fade away... Altough we loved you dearly We could not make you stay. A gold heart stopped beating. Hard working hands were put to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us... HE ONLY TAKES THE BEST! God Bless you and your family.
