I want to express my heartfelt sympathy to the loss of such a great person. Like so many others that were drawn by Teg’s charm, friendliness, and spice for life, he had many admiring friends, and deserved them all. We still tell stories about the years he drove the bus for us on Ragbrai. He has been very special to the Gillihan family; helping prosper Jason’s career and keeping Normie out, or in, trouble. The world has lost someone very special and Teg will be greatly missed. He will long be remembered.

We share in your loss of Jeff. We were proud to have Jeff become a part of our family and for us to become part of his. Family was so important to him. We admired Jeff for what he had accomplished but more so for what he stood for. His strong values and faith are examples to us all. We will miss him greatly - we'll miss him calling us "Mom" and "Dad". He knew he could always get a rise out of Linda. Cherish your memories, be comforted knowing how much he loved his family. The pain we feel now from his loss is so great because of the fullness he brought to our lives by being here. He touched so many people by being a part of their lives. We are all better for having him in our life. We pray you are comforted in the days ahead knowing that Teg has "finished the race" and "fought the good fight" and now has entered into the presence of the Lord.

To The Family: I was so sorry to hear about Jeff's passing. I met Jeff over 15 years ago, our booths were across from each other at the Home Builders Show. When it would snow and no one would show up we would all gather in one or the others booth and drink countless beers, and tell stories. I had many many laughs with Jeff. Years later I would always run into Jeff at Wing Night at Prime Time. He would see me come in and always ask me to join him. He was the reason I was a Home Builders memeber. Hell I did not even like going to the meetings if Teg was not there. He sent me countless refferals for Hot Tubs and supplies just because we were friends. I can remember one night in particular, if I can tell this story when Jeff White, Teg and I were at Vito's and almost got thrown out because of our loud, good time. HeHe. He was one of the kindest men I had the good fortune to know. Always so generous and Kind. One other thing that sticks out for me was when I was at WING NIGHT, he came up to me and said I met the most wonderful girl, I asked her to marry me. He was so happy. It's hard to know what to say at times like these, its hard to make sense of it all. We did not see each other that much. But when I did see Teg he always went out of his was to say hello, I was lucky to call him my friend. My thoughts are with you. I know he is looking down and smiling. Robin HAchey

When we first met, Jeff's eyes made me comfortable--and although I knew better, I got the feeling that I'd known him a long time. I realize now that only certain personalities can put you at ease and make you feel that way. Rarer still is someone who can convey this feeling through a picture. And yet, as I look up while signing this guestbook--it's happening now. Thank you for sharing that light.

Teg, such a simple word to remember, such and easy person to get to know! Teg taught each of us how to love what we do and love who we are around and how to love ourself! There is not a day that passes that i do not think of my good friend and ask myself, "what would Teg do in this situation"! Usually this helps me make the best decision possible. Or at least it helps me in knowing that Teg gave me the tools on how to approach difficult decisions easily! Teg waas a great father, husband and grandfather! I know that if I could every mirror his efforts in those areas I would consider myself a great man. But measuring yourself to him sets a very lofty goal. Any many people are not up to that much of a challenge. I am here to say that I am willing to be measured to his example and I know I will fall will fall short to it at times, but I know that when I am able to get close to his example, I will have achieved something that many men have not achieved in a life time! The ability to hold their head up high and be proud of a lifetime of service and respect by all men. All though his time on earth was short, his examples will live on through all of us! I am proud to say that I knew Jeffrey J Tegeler, and even more Proud that Teg knew me and took an interest in me during his time here! Until we see each other again my good friend, May God Bless you and hold you until I can be there to hug you. Help me every day to be a better man, to live by your example! Kick me in the butt when I am off the trail and straighten my focus to the values ans principles you showed me here on earth! Love you bunches, Mike Farr

It is a rare privilege when you meet someone like Teg. Kind and generous from the start, he never owed me the time of day, but he gave freely anyway. Teg left his indelible mark on everything; his friends, his family, his professional life, all were energized by his presence. It's remarkable how just a little time with one person can change your life in a fundamental way. Thanks Teg. I won't forget.
