Though not well acquainted with Pete, we shared a similar medical condition which tied us together. I can appreciate the distractions of his medical treatments, and am saddened to recognize the end of this effort. To Nancy, I am in support of your ongoing life and activities. Dear Pete's Family, I know you all already know how much Pete meant to me and my family. I don't know how to express the gratitude we have for Pete. He was THE GEM OF ALL GEMS. I was so pleased to be able to see Pete this past fall. We had such a wonderful time talking about the good old days, and reviewing family histories. It was also a pleasure to meet Nancy. I also treasured my conversations with Pete the various times we chatted during the year. He never, never failed to call me to tell me Happy Rosh Hashanah and ask if I was going to go pray this year. We would chat and joke and laugh and laugh. I will miss my dear friend so, so much. Knowing him was my extreme pleasure. i'll be thinking of you all tomorrow. I regret that I will be unable to attend.

To the Brown Family; especially Marv and Jimmy. I have fond memories of your dad taking us golfing on a few Sunday morning outings; Tommy's for breakfast then head to Iowa City or locally for 18 holes; not to mention the best part, Pete always wanted to pay for everything. He was a good man and raised you guys to be good men. God bless you all!

Dearest Nancy and family. Both Kent and I are deeply saddened by Pete's passing, but, like all he did, his battle was valiant and he was the same caring, out-going man we first met at Blair House going on 8 years ago. His legacy will always be,in our minds and hearts, his total lack of prejudice, his respect of people, his positive outlook on life, his compassion for all those he knew, his quick wit, and beyond it all, his complete respect of everyone with whom he had contact. We are honored to know him. He will always shine in our hearts and minds as a true example of man's humanity to all people. We were lucky to visit with him on New Year's Eve at Elmcrest and share his excitement over the up-coming Orange Bowl. May God bless you all---Pete has already received that.

Jimmy and Marv, I have a lot of great memories of working with Pete and golfing at Elmcrest. Not a Saturday morning goes by without someone bringing up a great Pete story. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I wish I could have been there to say a final farewell to Pete but my travels had me out of the country. God bless. Jeff.
