Edna Abodeely, a resident of the Hiawatha Care Center passed away there Friday January 8th 2010. Services: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. George Orthodox Church by Father Fred Shaheen and her grandson Rev. Dn. Edmund Abodeely II. Visitation will be on Monday from 5-7 p.m. at the Church where a Trisagon service will begin at 7:00 p.m. Burial: St George Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Edna was born in Ain Arab, Lebanon on June 12, 1912. She was 97 years old. She was born to Joseph and Salimi Skaff Koury. She married Frank Abodeely on November 20, 1932. From that union came Edmund Abodeely and Adele Abodeely Graber were born.
She is survived by a son, Edmund (Carol) Abodeely, a daughter, Adele (Jack) Graber, grandchildren, Edmund (Kari) Abodeely II, Jackie (Ted) Fahey, Heather (Kevin) Kenney, Stephanie (James) Lock, Robert (Wendy) Graber, Bill (Kristina) Graber and Katherine Graber, 14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
Her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
