Lorraine A. Cadwallader, 59, of 407 Main Street in Palo died Thursday Nov. 19, 2009 at her home after a long illness. Services at 11:00 AM on Monday at the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Pastor David Bissell will officiate. Inurnment at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery at 11:00 AM on Tuesday. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 3 to 6 PM on Sunday.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis Dye, three daughters, Bernice Cadwallader of Cedar Rapids, Colleen Kuchta of Atlanta, Georgia and Connie (Mark) Bennison of Southlake, Texas, three step-sons. Dennis (Amber) Dye Jr. of Mesa, Arizona, Quentin (Ving) Dye of Faribault, Minnesota, and Shannon (Cindy) Dye of Reno, Nevada, her father, Brijio (Lupe) Avila of El Paso, Texas, two brothers, Larry and Domingo and six sisters, Sally, Katie, Tina, Nancy, Francis, Phyllis and Chapa. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, a sister Pauline, a brother, Kenny and a son, John.
Lorraine was born on March 5, 1950 in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Brijio and Josephine Avila. She was a homemaker and a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Lorraine was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed by her beloved family.
A memorial fund has been established in Lorraine’s name.
