David Stallman

Dave was a wonderful man who i always enjoyed visiting with and hearing his words of wisdom. Whenever I stopped by he would always offer a bottle of his homemade wine, that was very good. I was lucky to have him as an uncle and he will be missed.God Bless Him

I am glad I got out to see uncle Dave on a trip to Iowa a couple of years ago. He was in good spirits and I enjoyed our discussion on current events with some of his excellent wine. I remember Dave & Eileen coming to Nashville to visit mom & dad when I was a kid as well as visits to their farm during our yearly vacations to Iowa. My prayers are with Julie, Craig, Danner, and the rest of the Stallmans. May God Bless Mark Beach and Family

Dear Stallman Family, You have my sympathy. A Mass was offered for Dave on Saturday and today he and you were mentioned in a petition at the English Mass here in Lima. Dave was very special and very generous to the Mercy work here in Peru. Often his donation went for salaries for "volunter teachers" in the Montessori classroom in the state orphanage. It was a great help and very much appreciated. I got to see Dave almost every summer when I was in Iowa; last summer it was good to see him at the St. Patrick, Fairfax reunion. Again, you have my sympathy and I am quite sure that Dave is happy where he is now. Blessings, Sister Brigid O'Connell

Sincere sympathy to each of you, at this time. I hoped to make C.R. to greet you three, but it didn't happen. Before moving to Decorah in 1989, we lived close to your parents and shared a great friendship, starting with your mom, but soon your dad was a friend too. Your parents defined generosity. I loved visiting your farm. Needless to say, I never left empty handed...no one did. Could never repay the kindness and generosity your family gave mine. The melons, strawberries, pumpkins and wine were the best. You were blessed with exceptional parents. They meant what they said....and said what they meant, and that just endeared them, that much more. We should all have their work ethic. They are together again, and that feels right. I lost my dad on Aug. 14th of this year. He wanted to reach his 85th birthday, and he did. I can only think your dad had the same goal, if only for a day. Our dads were a alike, as we remember their strengths. Will send a memorial in your dad's name to the new church. We go there when we visit our daughter and family. I firmly believe the Lord welcomed your dad with open arms, the same way he greeted visitors, when they came to visit the farm. I cherish my memories of them both. In friendship and sympathy, Vernelle and Merlyn Gossman
