Eddice Mae Weichman

St. Luke's Volunteer Services is grateful for knowing Eddice Mae and having our hospital be her volunteer destination of choice. She donated her time to making more baby caps than we can count and at 90 years old her financial contribution brought volunteer time sheets into the electronic age. With her generous donation we were able to purchase a sign-in computer that volunteers log their hours into and provides our staff with a way to email hundreds of volunteers, getting them valuable information the moment they arrive to their assignment. Today people in this office remembered her with fondness and smiles. Thank You Eddice Mae for everything you did as a volunteer in donating your time, talents and treasures to St. Luke's Volunteer Services. With Much Appreciation - St. Luke's Volunteer Services Staff

It was such a priviledge to be one of Eddice's nurses at Evergreen Estates III. She was a very special lady and will be remembered for her strong desire to be independent and not a bother to others (as she would put it.) She loved the Hawkeyes and shared her TV with many staff members as we snuck in to watch the games with her. Mary Lou and Richard visited her often - They were her family and she loved them dearly. She was an angel an now she's home - pain free. She knitted many cute little caps and booties for the newborn babies at St. Lukes. I'll miss her at the puzzle table . It won't be the same without her. She left us all with an inspiration to do all we can and love everyone. Sincerely, With Love and Prayers, Tressa
