Barbara J. Vanderlind, 85, of Cedar Rapids died Sunday, November 1, 2009 at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House, Hiawatha following a lengthy illness.

Services: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories by Rev. Jay Jentick. Interment will be in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

She is survived by her son, Bob (Sue) Vanderlind of Waterloo, daughters, Peggy (Jerry) Schneekloth of Ely, Sandy (Mike) Reid of Marion; 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; Sisters, Maxine Berry of Michigan and Lenore (DeWayne) Monroe of Cedar Rapids.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Bob Vanderlind Jr. and a brother, R.W. Wells.

Barbara Jean Wells was born October 29, 1924 in Pontiac, MI the daughter of Max & Eleanor (Smith) Wells. She married Ed Vanderlind on February 14, 1942 and they later divorced. Barbara worked for many years at Mercy Hospital retiring in 1990 and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
