Edwin Richard Carnal, 89, of Marion , died Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at Northbrook Manor Care Center in Cedar Rapids . A private Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.

Survivors include his wife Helen; a daughter Barb (Bill) Clark of St Charles, MO and a daughter Bobbette Carnal of Marion, a brother Donn Carnal, 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter Mary Willa Byers and his parents.

Richard was born October 30, 1919, the son of Edwin and Grace (Kentner) Carnal in Tama , IA. He was married to Helen L. Rugg for 71 years. He was a veteran having served in the Army during WWII.
