Shirley A. Kasey, 71, of Cedar Rapids died Saturday, October 3, 2009 at St. Luke’s Hospital.

A memorial gathering will be held from 4:00–7:00 pm on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories with a Celebration of Life at 7:00 pm. The Rev. William Harnish will officiate. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include her husband, Elmer; Daughter, Tona Hepker (Steve) of Cedar Rapids; Son, Scott Kasey of Cedar Rapids; Grandchildren, Samantha and Sabrina Kasey; Sister, Maxine Monroe (Donald) of Macon, GA; Brother-in-law, Marvin Krehbiel of Marion.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

Shirley Ann Warnock was born July 12, 1938 in Ottumwa the daughter of Ralph and Addie (Forbes) Warnock. She married Elmer Kasey on June 7, 1963 in Cedar Rapids. Shirley worked for many years in the Cedar Rapids Community School district as a cook.
