Ralph V. Reiner, 87, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa died September 26, 2009 at his home surrounded by his loving family. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church Faith and Life Center with Reverend Jonathan Swenson officiating. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Ralph Vincent Reiner was born April 23, 1922, in Cleveland, Ohio. He was the son of Vincent and Fannie Phillips Reiner. Ralph proudly served in the US Navy during World War II. He married Anna Ruth With on June 2, 1946. Ralph completed his education at Case-Western Reserve University of Cleveland and the US Naval Academy. He was a member of Phi Delta Theta and Blue Key Society. He was an avid golfer.

He is survived by his loving wife, Anna Ruth; a son, Van (Shirley) Reiner of Baltimore, Maryland; a daughter, Ann Reiner of Portland, Oregon; 4 grandchildren, Timothy (Mayuka) Reiner of Zurich, Switzerland, Rebecca (Daniel Gorham) Reiner of Boston, Massachusetts, David (Sarah) Reiner Geneva, New York, and Diana Martin Los Angeles, California; and 2 great grandchildren, Sophia and Zachary.
