Janet Powell, 90 of Methwick Manor and formally of Long Beach, CA died Saturday September 19, 2009.

Survivors include her nephews, Steven (Daniella) Ilten, Jay (Barbra) Ilten, Jeff (Terri) Ilten and one niece Barbara (Marlan) Morse and brother-in-law Eugene Ilten. Janet is preceded in death by her husband Glenn and two sisters, Jane Ilten and Anne Riemers.

Janet lived most of her life in Long Beach, CA. She was a registered nurse and served in WWII and the VA hospital in Long Beach.

Per her request, there will be no funeral and her cremains will be reunited with her husband in Long Beach. Memorials may be sent to the Glenn and Janet Foundation at Methwick Manor in Cedar Rapids.
