Nita Belle Anderson, 61, of 1129 10th St SE, died in her home on Friday July 24, 2009. Memorial Services: 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel. Friends may call after 1:00 p.m.

Survivors include her sons, Jerry Rhodes of Des Moines, Joseph Anderson of Cedar Rapids, Dustin Rhodes of Des Moines, and Shane Rhodes of Mt. Pleasant, and a brother, Daniel Hurd of Virginia.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Malissa Anderson, a sister, Winette and her parents, Roland and Winifred Hurd.

Nita was born August 17, 1947 in Creston, Iowa the daughter of Roland and Winifred Gruninger Hurd. She enjoyed camping, fishing and gardening. Her favorite was spending time with her family and friends. Nita was the type of person you would meet and would always remember her.

A memorial fund has been established in lieu of flowers.
