I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Tom, but I know his suffering is over. I've know Tom for many years. I used to share a house with Tom and Terry years ago. I have great memories of fishing and watching Iowa Basketball games with Tom. Tom had a infectious laugh, and I used to try and make him laugh just to hear it. He will be missed. You have my deep condolences. Jeff Krumbholz

I am very sorry to hear of Tom's passing. I got to know Tom through a mutual friend Terry Slickty and I have alot of good memories of watching the Hawkeye football and basketball games together. Tom was a very hardworker and alot of fun to be around. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him. My sympathy to the family.

Cousin Tom, You were a good guy. I'm so sad to hear of your illness and going to heaven. We sure had some great times together, back in our youth! Remember when we we had our Thanksgiving plays and charged our families a nickel to see them!! We had the best parents..salt of the earth. Please tell everyone hello in heaven. I will see you again. I wish I could come and celebrate your life, but I will have to celebrate and remember you here at home. I love you with all my heart! Cousin Janis

Julie, Steve and girls, I am so sorry for your loss.Tom was a kind and gentle man.He was shy, but if you started a conversation with him, he did enjoy talking. I know he loved the out doors and nature. I believe he will be missed by all. Now he rests without pain in the Lord's arms. Love, Debbie

I met Tom back in the 80's working at Farmstead Foods through a close friend, Carla. I was working at Farmstead, also. I've always known him as "Harpo" (a nickname he was given for his blonde, curly hair). I'll always have many wonderful memories of him. Harpo was a wonderful, kind friend. He would do anything for you. He introduced my children, Jordan & Shannon, who at that time were 3 & 5 yrs old, to camping and trout fishing at Yellow River in northern Iowa. My children just loved him. After all he was kind of a big kid at that time, too! Jordan and Shannon are now 23 and 25 yrs old and they remember the fun times we had at Harpo's house and in his "park" behind the house (Apache Park). Thank you, Harpo, for so many good memories. I hadn't seen Harpo in a few years and ran into him last month. He was still smiling and joking around with me even though I knew he had to be in alot of pain. He is now resting peacefully in God's arms. And even though we will miss him deeply. It is comforting to know that he is no longer in pain. My condolences are with his family and of course, Terry, too, as you were like his brother. You are in my prayers and my thoughts. With Love-

I had not been in contact with Tom for many years, but he still had a special place in my heart. I will always remember how he would rub his hands together and snicker when he was anticipating something good. He made me laugh. My prayers and thoughts go to his family and friends. And Terry, I'm sorry for your loss of a great friend. Lynn

Tom, Remember when you and I and cousin Janis used to tip a few at the bar and you were Tommy Trout and I was David Bluegill? Rest in peace cousin. We will all miss you.
