Memorial

Georgia L. Glaus, 89, of 23004 Antler Trail in Anamosa, formerly of Cedar Rapids died Wednesday July 1, 2009 at St. Lukes Hospital after a short illness. Memorial services at 3:00 PM on Monday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Inurnment at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Georgia donated her body to the University of Iowa for medical research. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Sheryle (Richard) Griffith of Anamosa, and Mary Rae (Don) Vinson of Cedar Rapids; three sons, Kenneth (Marilyn) Glaus of Cedar Rapids, Ronald (Paulette) Glaus of Birmingham, Kevin Glaus of Cedar Rapids and one sister, Rita of Clinton. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Thomas and 10 brothers and sisters.
Georgia was born on January 16, 1920 in Waukon, the daughter of Hershel and Julia Williams Stone. She married Leslie J. Glaus. He died in 1991. Georgia enjoyed gardening, fishing, board games going to the casino and especially time spent with her beloved family. Memorial donations may be given to St. Lukes Hospice.
