Memorial

Lois Louise Tone, 77, of 3753 Elmwood Dr. NE, died Friday, June 26, 2009, at St. Luke’s Hospital following a long illness. Services will be held at 3 PM Tuesday in Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Rev. William Harnish will officiate. Entombment in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 PM Monday in Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home and at the chapel after 2:30 PM on Tuesday.

Surviving to honor her memory are her husband of 56 years Maurice, two sons Mark (Susan) Tone of Naperville, Illinois, and Shawn (Katherine) Tone of Cedar Rapids three grandchildren, Brandon Tone of Naperville, Illinois, and Austin and Annaleise Tone of Cedar Rapids, two sisters Marilyn (Everette) Haroldson of Cedar Rapids, and Linda (Dean) Wieditz of Vinton, and a brother Bob of Vinton. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters Betty Fabor, and Phyllis Strong.

Lois was born July 8, 1931 in Dysart, Iowa to Clarence and Doris Stein Fabor. She married Maurice B. Tone on June 6, 1953 in Vinton, Iowa. She was a beautician and homemaker, and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke’s Hospice or to the American Cancer Society.
