Patricia “Pat” Thoreson, 80, of Marion, IA passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 from complications of COPD at Crest View Nursing Home with her sister Winnegate “Winnie” Caslavka by her side being vigilant about her care.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 26, 2009 at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids. Rev. Charles Keyes will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 till 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Entombment in Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories Mausoleum.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sister Winnie Caslevka of Marion; granddaughter Nicole Honzik of Minneapolis, MN; grandson Clark (Diane) Honzik of Andover, MN; great grandchildren Ethan, Alaina and Levi; and son-in-law Ed Honzik.

Preceding Patricia in death were her parents, husband Clark Thoreson, daughter Paulette Honzik, sister Audrey Hunter, and brother Tommy Inman.

Patricia Lou Inman was born August 15, 1928 in Cedar Rapids the daughter of Thomas and Louise (Priest) Inman. She married Clark Thoreson on July 20, 1946 in Davenport, IA. He preceded her in death on February 3, 1965.

She will be greatly missed by all who have been blessed to know her. Pat was a spirited, down to earth, loving person who laughed and made us smile.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a memorial of their choice.
