Steve and Susan, our prayers are with you and your family as you grapple with your father's transition from this life to everlasting life. The bond between father and son transcends time. May you find in your memories the joy of your father, the man who gave you life, and who instilled in you the faith of his God. May our Blessed Mother, who knows the sorrow of loss, comfort your mother and all your family. With Love, Chuck and Susan

Bill and I share in your loss, Marion, and extend our sympathies to you and your family. Justin thought so much of you both long before he married your granddaughter. Having grown up with no grandpas, I think he appreciated Irv even more. We will keep you in our prayers and may God bless you.

I will miss Uncle Irv even though I had not seen him for many years until our trip to Iowa in 2007. I'm glad I got to spend some time with him and to this day I always follow his sage advice, "Eat the meat first!"

Dear Marian and Family: My very sincere sympathy. Erv was a great guy and came to my aid at Pepsi many times. I didn't realize he was so sick. Take care and God Bless you and your children.

Marian and family, Our prayers and care are with you during this time. Words seem inadequate to express the wondrous friendship that Irv and Marian shared with my parents, in turn family, over the years. At this time, may God grace each of you with love and comfort. In care and prayer, Mary Soukup and family

Dear Marian and family, As I watched your video tribute to Irv over and over again, I shared a little part of his and your wonderful life together. What a blessing to have lived so happily! The pictures say so much! Thank you for sharing. I, too, feel so lucky that Irv was there teaching at C.F. Simmons Junior High in Aurora, Illinois when I arrived at my first teaching assignment. A cousin on the staff of your first job is a good thing! Also, I will never forget when you, Irv, and everyone except Gerry came to my mother's house in Cresco to say hi and give me a big hug for Gerry. He was at his daughter's wedding. Denny and I send blessings and love at this sad time. Fondly, Shirley and Dennis Berglund
