We own a small coffee shop that Todd used to visit on his way to work (he liked his coffee with the barest smidgeon of cream - just a titch :) I enjoyed getting to know him- a super guy with a fantastic perspective on life. He once told me he tried to leave people better off than when he first met them. He certainly lived this philosphy. I still have a picture of you and Todd in one of my wedding albums I show other clients. It's a black and white picture of Todd kissing you on the forehead. I've known Todd for many years as a friend and neighbor. We would see each other out and about and he always made it a point to stop whatever he was doing and come over and say hello. I last saw him about a month ago at a bookstore with one of his sons. I was in the check out line and talking on the phone and he came up and took the phone out of my hand when I had my back to him. When I turned and saw it was him all I could do was laugh. That's the kind of stuff that I'll remember most about Todd, his incredible sense of humor. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Its a shame I didn't know you personally. Jimmy talks about you all the time. He smiles when he speaks of you and laughs at all your memories. I can see the pain when I look in his eyes. When he talks about you he stares out the window and smiles as if he can see you. I wish I could share those memories. He brags about what an amazing father you were. Jimmy is a blessing to me. I have fallen hopelessly in love with him. I know that you had to be an amazing person because you impacted his life in a great way. He often tells me of how you had a way of talking to people and making them truly think about things. I wish I could have had at least one conversation with you. I need to tell you now though you have the most handsome boys I've ever seen. They are great kids. Theres no need to worry. Jimmy checks on them often and would never let anything happen to them. Its a shame we didn't meet but with the way Jimmy talks about you I feel as if I did know you. Even though I didn't know you I still mourn you and wear your T-shirt. I promise I'll keep Jimmy in line (maybe smack him around if its called for :) He has saved me! I will keep his heart forever. We both know it was you who did this. We want to thank you.
