Memorial

Todd Joseph Weaver, 31, of Hiawatha, died Sunday of injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident. Services: 10 a.m. Thursday at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel by the Rev. Joshua Goff of the Community of Christ. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel.

Survivors include his wife, Nicole; sons, Clayton and Carter; sister, Kendra Weaver of Jacksonville, Fl; brothers, Scott Klein of Cedar Rapids and James Kummerfeldt of Hiawatha; grandfather, Duane Weaver of Cedar Rapids; his in-laws, Paul & Rose Kladivo of Cedar Rapids, and Doc and Cheryl Rolfe of Guttenberg; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by father, David; and grandmothers, Yvonne Weaver and Rosemarie MacFarlane; and grandfather, Fred Dickson.

Todd was born September 24, 1977 in Cedar Rapids. He attended Wilson Middle School and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1996. He graduated from Kirkwood Community with an AAS degree in LAN management. He met his high school sweetheart and best friend, Nicole Kladivo in 1994 and married her on August 9, 2002. They welcomed their two sons, Clayton and Carter, with pride and joy. He worked for Integrated DNA Technologies for several years and then accepted and excelled in a position with Aegon as a Unix Systems Administrator.

Todd overcame many challenges in life; not only surviving but succeeding. He was a loving husband and proud father. He loved watching Clayton play football, wrestle, and skateboard as well as Carter’s achievements through preschool. He was a diehard Broncos fan and tech wizard. He enjoyed a good practical joke and had a wonderful sense of humor. His motorcycle was his pride and joy, earning him the nickname, “V-Rod Todd”. His loyalty, laughter, smile and love will be missed by so many.

Todd, you left so quickly. If only we would have known, we would have held on a little longer. We would have loved you a little more.
