Nancy “Jo” Good, 48, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, May 31, 2009 in Des Moines, IA after a sudden illness. She was surrounded by her family and friends at the time of her death. Memorial mass will be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at St. Matthew Catholic Church. Friends may call from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Monday, June 8, 2009 at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, where the rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM followed by a time of sharing memories of Jo’s life. Friends may also call after 9AM on Tuesday at the church. Inurnment will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Surviving are her sisters Lori Good of Houston, TX, Diane Thome and husband George of Appleton, WI, and Barb Lang and husband Steven of Clive, Iowa; a brother Greg Good of Chicago, IL; nieces and nephews Nichole Brecht of West Des Moines, Michelle and Jason Lang both of Clive, and Ryan, Mallory and Marisa Thome all of Appleton, WI.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Jo was born June 19, 1960 in Dixon, IL the daughter of John Thomas and Marjorie Rose (Morrissey) Good. She was a manager at Verizon Buisiness. Jo was competitive at everything she did; focused, driven, but with an attitude of fun and fair play. Jo was a lover of life, family and friends. Jo enjoyed playing golf, traveling, and “Da Bears”.
