I went to school with a Gordy Kohl ( Franklin High ) and remember him well as a fellow football player. He was a down to earth kinda guy and sort of kept to himself. I liked him. GOD BLESS.

Growing up with my bestfriend (son Steve) I have alot of fond memories of Bernice. Many rides home from baseball practice with Steve and his mom in the infamous Pontiac Phoenix....the one Steve would sneak out at night at we would cruise CR....until he got into a minor accident with the car. I also remember traveling across the country to Utah with Bernice, Gordon and Steve as a 12 year old and how much she enjoyed going to the Mormon Tabernacle. I remember how much she adored her children and grandchildren. Steve, like myself, was a momma's boy and that is a compliment. We were your typical teenage boys getting into typical teenage mistchief and Bernice always stood by us kids. My heart goes out to all the family as I know she will be missed greatly.

I attended Jackson and McKinley Schools with Bernice and Marion. They would invite me to go home with them for lunch when we were at Jackson. Such a nice family. I am so happy I was able to spend some time with Bernice in planning the 50th reunion of McKinley High School's class of 1956. Bernice was a very kind and loving person. My sympathies to her family.
