Margaret “Ann” O’Donoghue, 75, of Cedar Rapids died on May 28, 2009 following a brief illness.

Survivors include her husband, Michael; a daughter Nicole and husband, Barry Carter; and one grandson, Kevin. Her parents preceded her in death.

Ann was born April 17, 1934, in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Jesse E. and May (Weeks) Marshall. On July 28, 1956, she married Michael O’Donoghue in Sioux City. Ann graduated from Central High School in Sioux City, 1952 and attended Cornell College, Mt. Vernon, Iowa and Briar Cliff College in Sioux City. Ann was a sustaining member of the Junior League of Cedar Rapids. Ann’s love of the arts, lead her to be a long time volunteer at the Cedar Rapids Art Center (museum). She was also active for many years decorating Brucemore for the Christmas season.

Ann’s other love was her home at Lake Okoboji were many special times were spent with family and friends.

Memorials may be sent to the Jesse E. Marshall Boys club of Sioux City.

Inurnment will be at a later date at Memorial Gardens in Sioux City, IA.
