Warren L. "Bud" Summy
Bud was a good hearted and likeable person. He was always sharing a funny story or friendly greeting with everyone he met. He was a "Special Grandfather" to my nephew and niece. His passing was fast and unexpected. He will be sorely missed. "Rest In Peace my Friend".

I knew Bud through the Congregate Meals Program at St. Mark's UMC where I work. I will miss saying Hi each day and teasing him about the Cubs. He had so many interesting stories to share. He will be missed by so many people.

My dad, Tom Gallagher, worked at Iowa Electric with Summy, and my aunt and uncle lived right next door to them as well! Whenever I saw Summy, he always had a smile on his face and I will always remember him as a kind man. You will be in our prayers in the days and weeks ahead. God bless you all. Dorothy, we were out of state, and I just read the news. You know what Bud meant to me. He was one of the most wonderful people I have ever known. Seeing the two of you walk in the door was one of the highlights of my time with Witwer. I am so sorry I was not here to pay final tribute to him. I will so miss "my" Buuuddd.

My Mom (Alberta Gallagher) just showed me the obituary on Summy. I wanted to send my condolences, but, also wanted to tell you how nice he always was to me. I remember seeing him driving that "old IE truck" around town!! He would always wave and smile at me!! My Mom is with us right now, but, she wants me to tell you that she always thought about both of you! She misses you both! A nice remembrance is all the fun parties that you had at your house.
