Beverly “Bev” L. Weaver, 70, passed away Friday, May 22, 2009 from a long illness. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at 3:00 P.M. at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories by the Rev. Dan Hoeger. Interment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home

Survivors include her children, Penny Carter of Marion, Cindy (Jeff) Ray; anf Sherri Weaver both of Cedar Rapids, and Dennis (Tracy) Weaver of Center Point; grandchildren, Allen (Tara) and Andy Carter, Cory and Casey Sheets, Mary and Dale Weaver; great-granddaughter Lilly Carter; brother, Jim Evans; sister, Sandy (Tony) Zacek; sister-in-law Dee Evans; brother-in-law Duane Weaver; her beloved dog Trouble, cat Tator, and bird Smokie. She is also survived by her “adopted” daughter Ramona Baldyga and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bev was preceded in death by her husband Dale (Bud); her parents; brother Bob Evans; and special aunt/sister-in-law Yvonne Weaver.

Bev was born September 25, 1938 in Cedar Rapids, IA, daughter of Lloyd and Louise Evans. She married Dale on Dec 1, 1956. He died in 1992. She worked at Rockwell Collins for 30+ years retiring in 1998. She loved to spend time with her family, watching TV and traveling. Everyone her life has touched will miss her sense of humor and stories.

The family would like to thank the staff of Mercy Medical Centerl and her physicians. Special thanks to the nurses on 4th floor; Jane and Amber in the Wound Clinic for their loving care throughout the last 9 months. They have become a special part of Bev’s family.

In lieu of flowers a Memorial fund has been established in Bev’s name
