Memorial

Diana M. Wells, 74, of Cedar Rapids, died May 21, 2009 at her son’s home following an extended illness. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM on May 30, 2009 at Living Water United Methodist Church. Inurnment was at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.

Surviving are her sons Rick Schloss and wife Patty of Cedar Rapids, Cliff Schloss and wife Tami, and Andy Schloss and wife Barbara all of Plant City, FL; brothers David Steiner and wife Marilyn of Cedar Rapids, and Jack Steiner and wife Jackie of Wyoming; as well as 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Robert T. Wells.

Diana Mae Steiner Wells was born April 8, 1935 in Manchester the daughter of Clifford and Daisy (Edwards) Steiner. She married Richard N. Schloss and was later divorced. She later married Robert T. Wells, and he preceded her in death in 1981. She was employed for 20 years at Acme Printing, working in the binding department. She was a member of Living Water United Methodist Church, where she was active in various church activities. She was also involved with the Emmaus Community. She enjoyed gardening and sewing. Above all her greatest enjoyment was the time she shared with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Diana’s honor.
