Memorial

Deborah A. Jorgensen, 56, of 1410 32nd St. NE died Tuesday May 19, 2009 at St. Lukes Hospital after an extended illness. Graveside services at 1:00 pm on Friday at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Dr. Kay Slocum will officiate. There will be no public visitation. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include a daughter, Kate Jorgensen, her mother, Alma Phillips both of Cedar Rapids and a brother, Jack (Connie) Phillips of Robins. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Camron and Emma. She was preceded in death by her father.

Debbie was born on Dec. 18, 1952 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Jack and Alma Tukua Phillips. She graduated from Kennedy High School in 1970. Debbie worked at Quaker Oats for over 25 years. She was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister and grandmother who will be greatly missed.

A memorial fund has been established in Debbie’s name.
