Frank W. James

Joyce, I didn't know quite how to contact you these last months. I remember the windchime Frank made for me when we visited so long ago. It was wonderful to watch him use his tools. He was so generous. Email me if you are able. Love, Barbara

Aunt Joyce, I remember when you and Uncle Frank came down one Easter and brought us store-bought filled Easter baskets. That was such a huge thing to me as a child. It's funny how little things like that stick in your memory. And, I'll never forget the summer that we spent some time at your cabin at Lake Kabetogama. We had so much fun going out on the lake in your boat. I also remember going to see you both in Cedar Rapids while we were growing up, playing at a park and how HOT it was! Do you remember when you came to our first house in Wichita and stayed overnight in your RV parked in our driveway? When Mark and I lived in Minnesota, I remember Uncle Frank came by while we were out, he was on his way to the cabin up at the lake. I wish he would have let us know he was coming, because we really would have liked to have seen him. I was so sad to have missed his visit. I especially remember that he always seemed to have a smile for me (or at least it seemed like it was just for me). He made me feel special, and I'm sure he did the same thing with many others. He will be greatly missed. Sandra

Dear Aunt Joyce, Paul, Lynda, Jill and Families- Uncle Frank was such a special man. My heart is so full that I hardly have words to say the sorrow that I have for your loss. I remember that our family visits were something cherished by all of us kids. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. I am so grateful to Paul bringing him to Kansas for Mom and Dad's 50th... it seems like yesterday. I am sorry that we do not live closer to help you through this. Much love

Dear Aunt Joyce, Paul, Linda, Jill and families, I know this is a difficult time for all of you. Uncle Frank was such a giving man with such a sparkling smile. I remember many times when you came to visit bringing in a BIG Bucket of KFC chicken. That was always a treat. All the visits back and forth and the time you took Grandma and me home with you after visiting in Kansas. Our vacation at Lake Kabetogama to visit with the 2 of you was great. He was one in a billion. He will be greatly missed. love and prayers to all Janet

I remember so many good times with Frank, Joyce and the kids, starting way back in the 50's in Fairfax. Over the years Frank did so much for family and friends - camping and fishing trips, remodeling at home, building fine woodwork clocks, bowling and neighborhood fish fries - he was always there when it counted. I am grateful to have known him for so many years.
