Leonard Jay Fuller

Len spent some time working at the Hawkeye Area Community Action Program as an Inspector/Evaluator in the Weatherization Department with me. Everyone loved and enjoyed Len's dry humor. I've never forgotten Len in the years that have passed. For me he left a lasting impression of a good man. For his family I know how much you will miss him and my thoughts are with you. Joe Kolter

I love the picture of Leonard that you posted. My deepest sympathy, thoughts and love goes to every one of you. Your father was definitely a "special man" and was loved by all, including myself. He was a complete joy to visit with and joke around with. When I was asked to be an Elder at Cedar Christian he was such a strong support for me. He will be missed by countless people that he has touched. His spirit will never die and he will be remembered forever by all who knew and loved him. God Bless each of you.

I really liked Leonard. He is one of my strongest memories of Cedar Christian Church. . As I grew up at Cedar Christian, Leonard always spoke to me as if I was an adult. That meant a lot to me as a teenager. . I remember one Sunday when he filled-in as our Sunday School teacher. He shared with us an agreement he'd made with Mrs Fuller when they got married. "What's yours is yours and what's mine is ours." Over the years, I've reflected on the meaning of that statement. . Leonard was always there to help his Church in any way he could. I'm sure he loved his Church and I'm sorry for him having seen its end with the flood of 2008. That must have really hurt him. . Leonard was just an all-round great guy and the world is less well-off today with his passing. . God Bless Leonard and his family at this time of great loss!

I was so sorry to hear of Leonard's passing - it is a great loss. I feel incredibly blessed to have grown up as a part of his church family at Cedar. I remember as a child watching him as elder and he never wrote a prayer down ahead of time; he believed in speaking from the heart and letting the spirit lead. I always admired his deep faith and trust in God and his wisdom and the way he lead and loved through his actions and his words. He was a true Christian leader while still being a "real person" with a great sense of humor whether singing in the choir, crunching financial numbers on the board, tearing up as he grieved or cheering for our losing softball efforts. I am sorry that I cannot be there to give Gordy and all of the family a hug during this time but please know that you are in my prayers.

We will always remember your mom and dad as well as all you kids as a family that got Lynette and Brent started in a positive direction in their lives. May you have many wonderful memories and happy thoughts to help soften your loss. With our deepest sympathy.

I wish I could be there to pay my last respects to Uncle Leonard and see all my cousins again. Unfortunately, I can't be with you but my prayers are with all of you. I remember all the times he and Aunt Gert came down to Muscatine to visit or attend some celebration. Aunt Gert and Uncle Leonard made the trip with mom and dad to attend my college senior recital. It made it so special that they came considering Uncle Leonard had to drive back to Cedar Rapids late at night. Uncle Leonard was a great man and a good uncle. I will never forget how he always called my dad "Drumm" instead of Wayne. Love to all my cousins and other family members during this time of grief.
