Paul A. Davis, 73, of 634 41st St NE, formerly of Marion, died Thursday April 2, 2009 in his home from a long battle with cancer. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Faith Lutheran Church by the Rev. John Albertson. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3-5 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Private Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife Bette Anne, a son, Dwight Davis, and family, Amanda and Michael, a daughter, Bernita Hartman( Marvin), and family, Jason and Blake, a daughter, Christy Hardin-Tope and family, Marty and Carlee, a daughter, Cathi Hardin (Matt) Kane and family, Joshua, Jacqueline, Julia, a son, Jerry Todd (Deb) and family, Heather, Jeff, Zachary, Nia, and a daughter, Paula Bulten (Shane) and family, Dustin and Brandi, his sisters, Mary Garrett, Martha (John) Knupp, and Jean (Phillip) Goodall, a brother, Ray Davis Jr., and 5 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters and 2 brothers.

Paul was born in Culver, Indiana on May 31, 1935 to Raymond Carl and Elsie Olive (Schrom) Davis. He married Bette Anne (Wingett) Hardin on December 20, 1975 in Marion. He worked for the Marion Independence School District as a custodian for many years.

He was an active volunteer for St. Luke’s Hospital and Faith Lutheran Church where he was a member.
