Robert L. Timmons
I was saddened to read of the passing of Mr. Timmons. He was the superintendent of the Atkins school in 1956, the year I graduated. Even as a youth, without the perceptions obtained by experience, I recognized him as a man of high principle, integrity, and a remarkable sense of fairness. Optima dies....prima fugit. I share your sadness.

I have many memories of RL and Coe Softball. When I played for Coe RL would keep book for Coach. He was in the dugout with us for all the home games. We would tap the top of his hat for good luck before we got in the on-deck circle! He also was known as the JuicyFruit man...meaning he has supplied the team with hundreds, mabey even over a thousand packs of JuicyFruit gum for the last 12 years!! RL will be greatly missed by all. My thoughts and prayers are with Betty, Coach and the rest of the family. Fondly, Jodi Stepanek

I extend my sympathy to all of Mr. Timmons' family. I enjoyed working with him while I was the high school principal's secretary at North-Linn. It was obvious he loved his family very much.
