I will not be able to make it to the funeral but will keep all of you in my prayers. I have some very great memories of Uncle Wilbur and all of you coming to MO and going to the river. I love you all.

"Blessed is the man who persevers under trial; he has been approved, he will recieve a crown of life, which the LORD has promised to those who love HIM." James 1:12 Those of us in Kenya are praying for all of you in Iowa. As a matter of fact, prayers from all over the earth are coming your way. So sorry I am missing.

Oh, Grandpa, how much I will miss you, but celebrating and remembering your life will continue LONG past the grief and tears! Some of my best memories: *your amazing hat collection in the basement *watching pro-wrestling on TV with you (we still watch it!) *eating homemade ice cream with you that you and grandma would make while we would play in the driveway *watching you play cards (us kids rarely got to play with the adults - it was too intense!) *you were amazing with the guitar - it was always entertaining and fun to watch you play at family reunions *you played a mean game of horseshoes *we could always count on there being a two-liter of Sour in the refridgerator and you would suggest to us other pops to mix with it You were a loving, friendly, funny, good-hearted man. I was extremely blessed with such a wonderful grandfather. I can't wait to hear more stories about you and smile and laugh with friends and family. It's these memories that will be the most curative. The impact you made on everyone is eternal. I didn't say it often enough, but I love you - always have and always will. And don't worry, Grandma is in good hands down here. As you wait for us in Heaven, we couldn't ask for a better Guardian Angel. Until we meet again...

Hello to Roscoe's Family: While I have never met your loved one I have heard many stories about him over the years as we have mutual relatives--Duane and Cleeda Church. My condolences go out to all of you. Cleeda was my favorite aunt and I am sure that she and her brother shared many similarities. I am sure he was a dear man and will be missed by all of you. My prayers go out to you and may God hold you up in this time of need. Cindy Klein

50/50 While half of my life I knew you as my one of my favorite Uncles, little did i realize the best was yet to come. You married my mom and became a Dad. So neat. The joining of two families is never easy but the two of you carried it off with ease. Will miss that ready smile. .we had many great times together. Thanks for all you did for each of us.

To my "other" family, Grandpa, You probably don't remember me and the great grandkids Courtney and Bobby coming to visit you and grandma, but we did. I just found out today 5/3/09 that you passed and entered heaven's gates. As I sit here crying my eyes out, I recall all those special moments we had together as a family. The family picnics at your house, Halloween and Holidays, fishing, and going on the family trip to Missouri for great granddaddy's birthday. All I can say is "Thank You" to the best grandpa I ever knew. I knew you'd be passing and that time was of the essence but I didn't think I would not ever have the chance to say "Good-Bye" Thanks for my final hug about a year or so ago. I will always love you and miss you. Thanks for loving me for all those years and sorry I lost contact after my mom and Roscoe split. I will cherish the moment I came to see you at the house before we moved back to Mobile. Rest In Peace Grandpa. May your heavenly home be as inviting as you imagined it to be. Until we meet in heaven I love you! Love your Granddaughter, Becky
