Kenneth William Heefner
Dianne and Jim, My condolances to you and your family. I was your Dad's dentist.I have been privileged to know Ken since 2006. I always looked forward to his visits;he was such a bright, kind, sweet man. We seemed to bond right away. This may sound weird but I always wanted to take him home for dinner. He spoke of you and the rest of his family often. I remember that you would not be able to visit him 2 Christmases ago due to your surgery. I hope you healed well! I wanted to pay him a visit at Higley that Christmas, but didn't make it. However, I did go see him this Christmas. I knew he had been ill and thought he had aged these last couple of years. I had a feeling I might not see him again at the office. So, I took him some Christmas cookies and sat and chatted with him for awhile. He seemed eager to show me around his home. He showed me a childhood picture of you, Dianne, and a beautiful picture of your Mother. When he came to the office, I would always make sure I helped him get his coat on and one of us helped him out to his ride. We'd give each other a squeeze and he'd smile and call me Sweetie. The last time he was here he asked about my new baby. I had just gotten back from my maternity leave and showed him a picture of my 2-month-old daughter Heather. He got the biggest smile, kissed his fingers and touched them to my daughter's face. Your Dad had the kindest way about him. I don't know why we got along as we did, but he was like an old friend. The other ladies in my office adored him as I did. We all thought he was very special. I know he is with God now and for that I am very happy. I know he will be rewarded in the Kindgom of Heaven.

Ken was the ultimate gentleman. He was thoughtful, kind and chivalrous. He was good to his wife, his friends, his church and his community. I can't think of anyone who doesn't feel the same way about him. Blessings to Diane and family and congratulations to all the Angels in Heaven who are happily welcoming him home. Nancylee

Uncle Kenny was my favorite for all the wonderful things he was made of: charm, kindness, gentleness, and love. One of my fondest childhood memories was catching fireflies with him in he and Aunt Marianne's backyard. I loved it when he called me baby or sugar, and will miss him dearly. I am heartbroken I missed my opportunity to see him before he passed, and even more heartbroken I will miss the funeral. Diane and family, please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. Love, his niece Paula.

Dianne, Jim and Family, We are so sorry we cant be there for you, but know you are in our prayers and thoughts. Your Dad was a very special person. He was always so happy and looked on the bright side of everything. In the short time we knew him he became special to us as well. He will be happy in his new home with God and all who went before him. Take care and we will see you soon. Love, Don and Judy
