Rebecca L. “”Becki” Darland, 49, of 8725 Deer Crest Dr. NE. died Sunday Feb. 8, 2009 at St. Luke’s Hospital after a short illness. Services at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at the Oakland Church of the Nazarene. Rev. Dr. Dan Casey and Rev. Dave King will officiate. Entombment at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday and at the Church after 10 AM on Wednesday.

Survivors include her husband, Tim, their daughter, Jessica at home, two sisters, Dinah (Fred) Huff of Tijeras, New Mexico and Jenni (Dave) Knippers of Bethany, Oklahoma. She is also survived by two nephews, Captain Shane Huff of Tampa, Florida and Allen (Hilary) Knippers of Yukon, Oklahoma; two nieces Jaime (Jon) Huff Swarner of Covington, Georgia, Amy Knippers of Bethany, Oklahoma, and a great niece and nephew, Helen and Simon Huff. She was preceded in death by her parents and her baby sister, Jacquelyn Lee.

Becki was born on Dec. 24. 1959 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Reverend Dr. Jack and Ouida Waldrop Lee, and grew up in Decatur, Georgia. Becki was involved in her Church, Oakland Church of the Nazarene, as a school volunteer and in her community. Becki loved to travel and spend time with her family. She will be missed by all of her family and friends. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Rebecca Lee Darland Scholarship Fund.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff and doctors of St. Luke's Hospital for the care and compassion they provided to Becki and her family.
